Our 2005 V6 Mustang
Ah, the Ford Mustang...such an American icon. I've wanted one of these for as long as I can remember. When my parents finally decided that we could shop for my first car (after my freshman year of college), I really wanted a 1965-69 Mustang. Being the practical folks that they are, they (appropriately) convinced me that a nearly new red Ford Pinto would be a better choice...it was as close as I would come for many years.
When they published concept photos of the new 2005 Mustang, I said to myself, "I've gotta get one!" So, I did the next best thing...we bought one for Jill as a college graduation present ;-)
In May 20005 we bought a brand new 2005 V6 Mustang Premium Convertible in Mineral Grey with a black top.
Here are the specs:
4.0L SOHC V6 engine
5-speed automatic transmission
Dark charcoal leather interier
Interior Upgrade Package ( which includes the fancy car computer and MyColor options)
Exterior Sport Appearance Package
Active anti-theft system
Mustang Modifications
No, I'm no gearhead, but a few modifications to the Mustang seemed appropriate.
The first mod was the upgrade to a dual exhaust system with X-pipe and GT-take off mufflers. Boy, does it sound better now!!

The next upgrade was a C&L cold air intake and an XCal2 tuner with custom tunes from Lidio at Alternative Auto. Lidio REALLY knows his stuff with the new V6 autos--I highly recommend him!! The new tunes improve the car more than you can imagine; you have to drive it to believe it. Even Jill could tell the difference :)
